This auction is for an original Big Star Radio City promotional album and press kit issued by Ardent records in the 1970's. This includes an LP (Ardent ADS-1501), Ardent folder and promo packet. Here are the specifics...
ALBUM: The record is nice and glossy and was probably never played until tested here. The record has a warp and it is bad enough that it affects play on the first track side one. The record skipped a few times on that track on my turntable. About half way through the song it is fine and remains fine for the rest of the album. On side two, my needle is definitely bouncing around from the warp, but does not skip. The vinyl is in beautiful condition otherwise, but the warp is a somewhat significant flaw. Click HERE for a little cell phone video attempting to give you an idea of condition. NOTE - has L. Nix in dead wax. Original Stax inner sleeve.
COVER: Cover very nice with saw mark on upper right corner and a promotional sticker on the lower left. Some yellowing to the white areas of the cover. There are some minor marks and a small crease on back. Looks good with nothing real detracting.
FOLDER & PRESS KIT: Ardent records folder in good condition. No rips or tears, but a few marks and some discoloring particularly on the inside cover. Pages of press kit in good condition with one sheet showing some discolored areas. Nothing very detracting and real cool item.
