Up for auction is the GEM of the 2011 Record Store Day campaign with BIG STAR THIRD TEST PRESSING LP BOXSET. This set is a LIMITED EDITION of 2000 worldwide PRESSED AT RTI on 180-GRAM HQ VINYL! This beauty of a set was actually cut from the original analog assembly reel, on the same lathe that cut the 1975 test pressing by the original engineer, Larry Nix, in his mastering room at the legendary Ardent Studios in Memphis. This boxset includes replicas of the tracking sheets, lead sheets and mastering card. Absolutely a BEAUTIFUL SET! Please note that I purchased the set in hopes that it might be one of the five random sets that included the original 1975 test pressing signed by several people involved, of course it was not, but this set is ABSOLUTELY UNPLAYED MINT CONDITION and still includes the plastic shrinkwrap with sticker.
