Description
Beautiful replica of Big Star's 'Third' as the only version that really existed, a test pressing. Housed in a tape box replica, the set also contains tracking sheets, lead sheets, and mastering card in a translucent paper pocket. And, to make it as authentic as possible, it was mastered by Larry Nix at Ardent Studios, Memphis, TN (Feb. 2011). Cut from the original analogue assembly reel, on the same lathe that cut the original test pressing. This is the real deal, and it sounds great.
Like New condition (the box top dips a little in the middle, but that seems to happen with every copy). Opened recently and only played a few times. Includes all inserts and hype sticker.
Limited to 2000 copies, released exclusively in record stores on Record Store Day.
