Basically BILL BELL"To Life & Love"; Brown Door MH6591, from 1979. Bill Bell, aka “The Jazz Professor”, grew up in Illinois and moved to the San Francisco Bay area in 1963. He taught band and orchestra for the Oakland public schools and later the College of Alameda. Meanwhile he performed or recorded with his own trio, the Buddy Montgomery quartet, Louis Bellson & Roy Eldridge (on "The Nifty Cat Strikes West” ), Carmen McCrae, etc. This first solo LP recorded with area musicians including Gaylord Birch, Jules Broussard, Coke Escovedo, & Marvin Holmes; plus vocalists including Lady Bianca Thornton. Varied set, including traditional Jazz-Blues, Latin, and modern funky R&B. VG+ record; VG to VG+ cover is splitting at the top opening and there is a tiny name on the back.
