Description

Absolutely beautiful copy of the original 1967 pressing of Bill Evans’ A Simple Matter of Conviction LP on Verve V-8675. Features Shelly Manne and Eddie Gomez, and produced by the great Creed Taylor, with engineering and mastering by the even greater Rudy Van Gelder, who’s stamp is in the runoffs. The disc is very nearly perfectly mint and plays completely flawlessly and just beautifully. There is maybe one very tiny superficial sleeve scuff but with no affect on the play whatsoever. Really it plays like it was never played before. Truly a stunning disc. The cover is likewise nearly pristine, with a promo hole at the lower left, and only very slight signs of gentle use. This is a truly top, top original copy, very hard indeed to beat.
