Description
For auction is Bill Evans' "Explorations" on Riverside RLP 351, MONO, 1961.
SOUND: VG+ or better.
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, the sound is fantastic! Bright and clean! Only one caveat: exactly 3 "pops" during A2 "Haunted Heart." Other than that, awesome sound on this 57-year-old record!
VINYL: VG+.
Visually, the vinyl has some light scratches and scuffs here and there. Nothing serious, no evidence that it affects playback. Record is deep-grooved both sides.
COVER: VG+
The cover is nice! The edges are solid with a little wear. The corners are a little softened, not bad. Both the front and back are clean, and unscuffed. The back has a "demo" stamp, as well as a name in black marker.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
A rare record, in very nice condition. No reserve, bidding starts at $25.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
