Brief description of item
BILL EVANS TRIO AND A RARE MONO RECORDING...RIVERSIDE 1959. PORTRAIT IN JAZZ....IN TOP CONDITION, HAS BEEN IN STORAGE FOR DECADES & UNPLAYED OR UNTOUCHED FOR YEARS!!!!
TOP VINYL + TOP COVER...SIMPLY NEAR MINT ALL ROUND. FOR A RECORD THATS AS RARE, THE USUAL PROBLEMS/ISSUES IN CONDITION OF AGE! ARE NO PROBLEM HERE! PLEASE NOTE : THE ACTUAL VINYL IS STILL AFTER DECADES IN AGE..CONTAINING STATIC ....WOW! FROM 1959 & LOOKING/SOUNDING BETTER THAN SOME PEOPLE OUT THERE OF THE SAME ERA!
VERY NICE JACKET INDEED WITH NO DAMAGE AT ALL, INTACT SPINE AT THE SIDE WITHOUT WEAR OR SPLITTING, VERY BOLD AND STILL WOULD YOU BELIEVE SQUARE!!!
ALL TEXT FULLY LEGIBLE/AS IS THE BACK COVER. VERY CLEAN & AS HARD TO FIND THIS IN A MORE PERFECT STATE AS IT WOULD BE TO FIND SAXON GOLD!!!!
NO LAMINATED PEEL OF THE CLARIFOIL EITHER. NO DAMP, NO DUST NO HANDWITTEN NAMES OR SIGNS OF RIPPING OR TEARING. ALL FLIP BACK TABS ON THE REAR OF THE JACKET ARE 100% FULLY INTACT.
ALL TEXT ON THE BACK COVER IS FULLY & HIGHLY LEGIBLE. USUALLY THE MATT TYPE COVERS ARE PRONE TO PAPER AGE OR MARKED BY HANDLING OR DIRT GETS INTO THEM EASILY BECAUSE OF THE MANUFACTURED NATURE....NONE! OF THESE PROBLEMS ARE PRESENT. PLEASE SEE FOR YOURSELF VIA THE LARGE PHOTOGRAPHS OF THIS ACTUAL ITEM, TAKEN BY MYSELF.
BOTH LABELS ARE IN EXCELLENT SHAPE & WITHOUT ANY HANDWRITTEN NAMES/RIPPING OR TEARING. TO BE HIGHLY CRITICAL ON MY PART ONLY SOME VERY, VERY SLIGHT AGE TO THEM & A LITTLE (IF ANY) SPINDLE WEAR AROUND THE VERY CENTRES...
THIS IS UNAVOIDABLE REALLY IT WAS PLAYED & IN MY OPINION IS NOT A MASSIVE CONCERN. ALL TEXT IS STILL 100% FULLY LEGIBLE AND WITHOUT FADE OR RUB ETC. HAS NOT SEEN HEAVY PLAY IN OVER IT'S 6 (SIX) DECADES OF LIFE!! AND PROBABLY PLAYED SIX TIMES ONLY!! DO THE MATH YOURSELF.....THATS LESS THAN ONCE/ONE PLAY A YEAR SINCE 1959!!!!!!!
THE ACTUAL RECORD IS FREE FROM ANY DAMAGE SUCH AS WARPING OR SCRATCHED MARKS....BEAUTIFUL & PLAYS SUPERBLY ALL THE WAY THROUGH ON EACH SIDE WITHOUT ANY POPS, JUMPS OR SKPS. ABSOLUTE GEM OF A RECORDING HERE & WILL BE TREASURED IN YOUR COLLECTION FOR SURE. I GAVE THIS ONE LAST RUN....AND ITS WITHOUT A DOUBT AS I LIST HERE. SUCH A NICE CONDITION, BUT DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT...BUY IT & FIND OUT YOURSELF.

>> Grading of Items All items are graded conservatively according to Record Collectors Grading System Record Collectors Grading system
Mint (M) The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condiition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good (VG) The record has obviously been played many times, but displayes no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable
Good (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has notceably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc
Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor (P) The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing Bad (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
CD's and CASSETTES As a general rule CD's and Cassettes either play perfectly - inwhich case they are in Mint condition - or they don't, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD's are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves
