Title:   “Portrait in Jazz”

Label:   RIVERSIDE.  Large blue label with silver text, reel & mic logo.  Monaural pressing on medium weight vinyl.  There is an impression in the label where the deep groove would normally be found, but I would not consider this to be a deep groove in the traditional sense.  Catalog number is RM/RLP 12-315.  

Session Date:  1959. 

Personnel:  Bill Evans – piano;  Scott LaFaro – bass;  Paul Motian - drums. 

Condition: 

DISC:  Vinyl is beautiful NM- with 100% of original gloss, a beauty.  Appears to have been played one or two times at most, and handled with care.  Labels are clean.  Fidelity is superb.  A gorgeous disc you will never need to upgrade!    

JACKET:   Jacket is nice VG+ to VG++.  Front is beginning to show a bit of ring & surface wear.  There is a bit of minor wear along the bottom seam and a couple slight dots of wear on the top seam – no serious wear or splits.  Reverse has darkened a bit with age, and has a couple slight stains at the top.  No writing, stickers, cutout indications, or other flaws.  Overall a very nice jacket to accompany the beautiful disc.
