Original 1955 UK stock issue with gold label print.
I am a former record collector in the process of liquidating the bulk of the collection.

Label: LONDON (gold lettering on label)
Catalogue number: 45-HLF8161
Side 1: Farewell, So Long, Goodbye
Side 1 matrix number: MSCF 847-1C
Side 2: I'll Be True
Side 2 matrix number: MSCF 848-1C
Record condition:
Label: gold lettering is very clear on both sides with hardly any wear. Both sides have areas where a mark on the label appears to have been erased. The original triangular centre was removed many years ago.
Vinyl: graded as VG+ as per Rare Record Price Guide "The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch." Overall I wouldn't say the sound quality has deteriorated but there is surface noise (more on the B-side than on the A-side), most probably due to dirt accumulated over the past 58 years. Vinyl retains a good overall shine with light paper scuffs/surface marks on both sides.
Sleeve: Period blue-brown London company sleeve bearing rubber stamps by the record shop from where it was purchased when new as well as a possible former owner. Sleeve is in EX+ condition as has hardly any wear.
Sound quality: good sound quality with some surface noise, refer to video links. Note that the record being played is the actual one for sale in this listing and was recorded by myself. This record was tested on a Sansui SR-2050C turntable.
