UP NEXT - SOME HIGHER END COLLECTABLE 1950s ROCK-N-ROLL AND ROCKABILLY LPS! This is a reasonably priced original 1958 U.S. FIRST PRESS DECCA RECORDS DEEP GROOVE RIGID VINYLITE 12-TRACK LP titled 'Rockin' The Joint' from rock-n-roll pioneer Bill Haley And His Comets. It is Decca Records catalog number DL 8775, solid black 1950s-era Decca labels with silver print. Tracks: New Rock The Joint, Move It On Over, How Many, See You Later Alligator, The Beak 'Speaks', Forty Cups Of Coffee, The Saints Rock 'N Roll, Sway With Me, It's A Sin, Burn That Candle, Rock Lomond, Rip It Up. This LP occupied an honored place in my personal collection for quite awhile until I recently obtained a slightly better condition copy - Condition of record is a nice VG+ with a few small and light visible surface marks which cannot be felt and which do not affect play - This deep groove heavy rigid vinylite pressing plays through very nicely with just some light scattered surface noise. Condition of cover is a low to mid VG+ with the only real flaws being 1-1/2" splits in the right sides of the top and bottom edges (I have carefully and neatly repaired these splits by taping from the inside), a small 'x' written in blue ballpoint near the top right corner of the back cover, some contact wear, and some wear along the edges and on the corners, there are no tears, or stickers. This LP would be a nice addition to any 1950s roots rock-n-roll record collection!
