This listing is for Bill Staines album Third Time Around on Catfish Records which has been autographed.
From Johnny Desolations Dustbin "If a "Bag of Rainbows" the Holy Grail of Bill Stains' albums then this is The Life of Brian". It would seem that having an autographed copy would be even more rare.
There are no completed listings on eBay for this album. The last recorded sale of this record on Popsike is from 2009. The condition of the cover is VG+ and although the vinyl would cosmetically by VG+ as well, it plays better than that. I played it through on my modified AR XB and there was minimal surface noise with a few clicks on the first track on side two but otherwise very quiet. Why is play grading important? Records that look pristine can be unlistenable due to being played with worn styli or misaligned cartridges and conversely records with some visible imperfections can play clean with minimal surface noise. Being that records are intended to be listened to and not looked at, how they sound is the most important aspect. Perhaps you like to buy records to hang on your wall, then by all means buy visually graded records but if you want to listen to them look for play grading. This record has been cleaned on a VPI 16.5 record cleaner and will ship in a anti-static inner sleeve and a clear jacket cover, ready to play and file in your collection.
