Description
This is an original LP of Bill Withers Just As I Am on Sussex Records SXBS 7006 from 1971. I've had it in my collection for over 25 years. Side One plays nice VG++ with very light noise in the background at times and plays with excellent tone and sound, often sounding closer to M-. Side Two plays nice VG with some crackle in the background. This is mainly in the first half of the side. It looks like there is a light scuff that caused this. It still plays with nice tone and sound. By the time it got to the last two songs there was next to no noise in it, and they played at least VG++. The cover is a very nice VG+. There is very faint wear on the front if you look at it at an angle. There is also about an inch and a half of seam split at the top opening that is barely noticeable. Otherwise I would grade it VG++. This is an excellent debut album and is hard to find. It features Al Jackson, Booker T. Jones, and Donald "Duck" Dunn from Booker T. and the MG's. It also features Stephen Stills on guitar and Jim Keltner on drums. I was really sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I've been a fan since I heard his first single nearly fifty years ago.
