Description
Up for your consideration is a very nice copy ( VG++/VG++) of " A HOT JAZZ CLASSIC " by BILLIE HOLIDAY. This is a four ( 4 ) record box set of 10 inch 78 records. ( 8 SONGS ) The overall condition is exceptional considering they are over seventy ( 70 ) years old, PRESSED IN 1947! The cover shows very little wear with the binding having a minor seam split. Billie's biographical sketch on the inside cover is very nice as well as both the front and back covers. ( see pictures ) All four attached paper sleeves inside the cover are well preserved and intact. The four ( 4 ) records are all in about the same nice condition displaying a nice shiny appearance ( especially for 78's ). They do have some scuffing which would be consistent with withdrawing and replacing from the cardboard sleeves but still represent well. Some of the spindle holes on the labels shows some wear and some show little or nothing. Overall, labels are nice without any writing or tears. These don't surface that often as this is the only set I have seen in over 30 years of collecting!!
