Beautiful copy of the 1947 Columbia Hot Jazz Classics 78rpm release of Billie Holiday's Am I Blue / Long Gone Blues, on Columbia 37586. This copy has a few light surface scuffs and minor wear but it plays just beautifully with only light background noise that is barely noticeable, and only in one or two spots. Really this is a great playing copy. And the best sounding issue of these songs you can find! Long Gone Blues was co-written by Holiday, and features brilliant playing by Hot Lips Page. Am I Blue also features great playing by the likes of Roy Eldridge and Eddie Haywood. This is a lovely copy of a lovely record.
