Description
Billie Holiday Long Gone Blues recorded in 1939, with Tab Smith and Lips Page, And Am I Blue. Recorded 1941.First issue of both sides, record states previously unissued. Record released in 1946. Record is in VG+ condition. Plays better than it looks scuffed. Billie was the premiere song stylist of the jazz/ swing era in the 1930s-40s-50s. She recorded under her own name and with bands as varied as Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Paul Whiteman, Count Basie, Teddy Wilson, etc.She set the style for jazz singing- an influence still felt today, and was influenced herself by the great Louis Armstrong Please see photos.
