A comprehensive B.H. compilation on LP. The box contains: a 16pp. illustrated booklet (on heavy stock paper) reviewing Miss Holliday's output; 23 Mono LPs, viz. the original 22 issued and a 23rd subsequently added ("No More...": Rare Studio Cuts, 1938-1952), which contain some 220+ recordings of B.H. as well as interviews (w/ Tex McLearly, Mike Wallace, W. Connoyer) and "Billie at Home" and "The Comeback Story" (the sides run between 12 and 20 minutes in length, so approximately 11.5 hours in total). The LPs were closely inspected and the sides and labels are truly NM: clean, glossy/glassy, unmarked, with a few small pressing dimples (the 8th and 11th LPs) without sound and two marks - 12A and 19B - which are barely audible. The LPs are flat, bright, and of much better quality than one might expect from Italian pressings. Each is housed in a paper/plastic sleeve of high quality. The track listings are on the B sides, the A sides feature an iconic portrait of B.H. The extra LP has an outer sleeve as well. The booklet is very bright, sound, and clean. The box is only VG for, while solid, it has corner bumps and a good deal of external handling/soiling.
