Description

Vintage 10-inch lp: BILLIE HOLIDAY SINGS - Supervised by Norman Granz; Clef Records, MG C 118, mono, with deep-groove black and silver trumpeter labels, "Mercury Records" on the cover, visually arresting cover art by David Stone Martin, photo of Billie and liner notes on the back; released in 1953; technically the first repressing, after the Mercury pressing of the same year.

Condition: VG-/VG+ (moderate-to-heavy scuffing with soft scratches and hairlines, and a few scratches I can barely feel; plays VG to VG+ with fairly consistent soft background, some ticks and pops, no skips - still very enjoyable; labels have some rubbing; jacket cover is bright with small light ink numeral at the top-right corner, minor rubbing and small spots, tape-stain over "Mercury Records"; minor rubbing to corners and back cover, 5-inch rubbed area to bottom edge, clean spine, top edge has minimal rubbing; no splitting).
