Description

OK - NOW FOR SOME GOOD 45s OF VARIOUS STYLES - This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1959 U.S. VULCO RECORDS (LOCAL FORT PIERCE FLORIDA LABEL) 45 RPM RECORD containing the rockabilly tunes titled 'Half A Heart'/'Take My Love' from Billy Eldridge And The Fireballs. It is Vulco Records catalog number 1507, and is a GUARANTEED 1959 ORIGINAL, NOT A 'REPRO' REPRODUCTION AND NOT A 'COLLECTORS PRESSING'!! This 45 appears to be a RARE ITEM which has not been offered on eBay either at auction or at fixed price sale during the past month as far as I can tell. 'Although 'Half A Heart' is billed as the B-side of the record it is definitely the A-side musically - It is a real nice midtempo pure rockabilly with a melody that will remind you in parts of the Elvis Presley tunes 'Don't Be Cruel' and 'I Beg Of You', with a real nice guitar break. 'Take My Love' is a rockabilly ballad. The visual condition of this record will be a bit frightening when you first look at it, but fortunately it is one of those records that plays better than it looks - Overall visual condition is about G with a good amount of surface marks and scratches mainly on the 'Take My Love' side, a number of which can be felt - Visual condition of the better 'Half A Heart' side is VG with considerably fewer surface marks and only a couple that can be felt.  I have played completely through both sides of this record on my turntable with a lightweight arm - The 'Half A Heart' side played at a nice low VG+ level with crackly surface noise and just a few scattered non-distracting ticks, no loud ticks or skips. The 'Take My Love' side has a number of surface scratches which will cause ticks but no skips.  I also need to mention that the record has one sub-surface crack which appears to exist below the play surface on both sides, does not show as a break in the record either at the edge or anywhere inside the edge, and which causes no play problems of any kind on either side. Labels have some contact wear and some wear around the center hole, no other flaws worth mentioning. Due to the condition issues I have placed a modest opening bid price on this rare and collectable Vulco rockabilly title, I will leave it to the bidder to decide its ultimate value - This rare 45 would be a choice addition to any rockabilly record collection!  Winning bidder pays $3.75 first class mail postage or actual priority mail postage within the U.S.  I WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE - PLEASE NOTE: NEW FIRST CLASS INTERNATIONAL AIRMAIL POSTAGE TO AREAS OUTSIDE THE U.S EXCEPT FOR CANADA (9.55) AND GERMANY is $13.75.  PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO THE GERMAN POST AND CUSTOMS CONTINUING FAILURE TO DELIVER MY PACKAGES, I AM FORCED TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL $13.65 TO COVER REGISTERED POSTAGE WITH TRACKING AND SIGNATURE DELIVERY TO ALL SHIPMENTS GOING TO GERMANY.  I APOLOGIZE FOR THIS, BUT I CANNOT CONTINUE TO LOSE MONEY AND HAVE MY EBAY REPUTATION DAMAGED BY THE GERMAN POST AND CUSTOMS' INABILITY TO DELIVER MY PACKAGES.  Please e-mail me for postage rates to other areas outside the U.S.!   WINNING BIDDER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE! I will give an immediate refund (less shipping) upon return of the 45 if winning bidder is dissatisfied for any reason. Good luck!
