BILLY FURY’S 78s HAVE BEEN SCARCE FOR YEARS. THIS IS ONE OF ONLY FOUR RELEASED BY FURY. IT’S MARGO ON DECCA FROM ’59; BUT, MORE IMPORTANTLY, IT INCLUDES FURY’S FURIOUS AND CLASSIC ROCKER ‘DON’T KNOCK UPON MY DOOR!’

THE PLAYING SURFACE HAS THAT 78 ‘MOTTLING’ THAT’S OFTEN FOUND; THIS IS CAUSED BY A CHEMICAL REACTION BOTH WITHIN THE SHELLAC AND BETWEEN THE SHELLAC AND ITS ENVIRONMENT. OTHERWISE IT HAS THE USUAL SURFACE MARKS I THINK IT’S REASONABLE TO EXPECT OF A 78 OF THIS VINTAGE – LIGHT SCUFFS AND SCRATCHES BUT NO REALLY NOTEWORTHY OR SERIOUS DAMAGE. IT WOULD PROBABLY CLEAN UP OK BUT I'M GOING TO LEAVE THAT FOR A BUYER...

THE A-SIDE LABEL HAS A SMALL BIT OF LIFT NEAR THE CENTRE HOLE; THE B-SIDE LABEL HAS SOME LIGHT PAPER SCRATCHES. SEE THE PHOTOS; THERE’S NOTHING TO HIDE. IT COMES IN A PLAIN BROWN SLEEVE.

Rest of World by Airmail = £3.45 (up to 100g); £4.00 (from 101g to 150g but see below); or more for higher weights (but see below)
