RECORD packaging and shipping method: I am a record collector who understands the importance of securely packing records. I always pad the package well to prevent shifting during transit. I also use industry-standard shipping boxes which are specifically designed for shipping records.
Here's a rare 45rpm record by Billy Fury from 1961. This is a 4 song extended play record, rarely offered for sale.
The vinyl: VG condition
Record is as the pictures show. I've cleaned the record thoroughly. Some general but very light sleeve scuffs and some light scratches. One mark on Side 2 is detectable to the touch but doesn't produce a skip. The file below has the record's complete playback so everyone can hear what I hear when grading. No skips on either side, continuous playback throughout. There is some light background throughout but in general, the record's playback is still enjoyable. The record looks exactly as the pictures on the left show... It sounds exactly as the mp3 file plays below.
The actual, unedited sound file below is provided by my Technics Direct Drive TT with a Ortofon OMP 3E cartridge. I cannot guarantee the record will sound exactly like the file below since every turntable is set up differently.

The labels are in VG condition
The pictures of the record's labels show general contact wear. There are names written on both sides as well as more marking on the other side. Clear print though, all type is legible. Marked 'Made in France'. Matrix numbers show clearly on the record and are stamped. This is an original.
The cover is in VG condition
The many pictures of the sleeve provide an accurate description. There is a small split at the top corner where there's also a knick out of the sleeve. There are no other splits. The sleeve still holds the record securely. It has a slight warp to it (the record lays and plays flat). The front of the sleeve has that import gloss or veneer to it that US sleeves don't have. The back sleeve has general contact wear and some writing on it as well as a slight stain.

GRADING:
I will have the Goldmine Standard in mind when grading but will be taking plenty of pictures to represent the records condition. Any items having multiple condition grades: First grade is vinyl, second is the sleeve.

"Goldmine Standard" grading:
SS = Still Sealed
Never opened. Any flaws (torn shrinkrwrap, creasing) will be indicated in the description.
NM- = Near Mint Minus
Has been opened, but is still flawless
with no damage whatsoever.
VG+ = Very Good Plus
- Vinyl: May have scuff marks and signs of some wear but will still play almost perfectly throughout, with only "barely detectable" crackles or pops. A slight noise at the begining is allowable, but the remainder must be nearly flawless.
- Cover: May only have the slightest signs of normal wear.
The majority of records (worth selling) fall under this grade.
- Vinyl: May crackle, pop or make other annoying noises, but only occasionally,never continuously, and not more loudly than the music being listened to.
- Cover: Normal used cover wear such as ring wear and split seams. If there is abnormal damage such as tears or markings, but the seller still feels that it qualifies as a
"VG", the damage must be described in comments attached to the item.
G+ = Good Plus
- Vinyl: May have continuous crackles, pops, etc... but not so loud as to make the music completely unenjoyable for the casual listener.
- Cover: More than normal wear and tear.
