BILLY HAWKS jazz funk LP “Heavy Soul” PRESTIGE nice!
Artist: BILLY HAWKS
Title: “Heavy Soul!”
Label: PRESTIGE. Label is dark blue with silver text. Stereo pressing on medium weight vinyl. Catalog number is PRST 7556.
Year: 1967.
Personnel: Billy Hawks – organ, vocals; Buddy Terry – tenor sax; Maynard Parker – guitar; Henry Terrell – drums.
Condition:
DISC: Vinyl is EXCELLENT with full original gloss. Has been played a small number of times and handled with care. There are a couple slight hairline paper scuffs but no serious or audible marks or problems. Plays beautifully with superb fidelity. Labels are clean. This hard-to-find LP is one that you will never need to upgrade.
JACKET: Front artwork is clean and bright, with a few slight traces of ring wear just beginning to appear. Nice seams and spine. Light wear at corner tips, and bottom right corner is very slightly bent at the tip. Reverse is clean with no writing or stickers, with a few very light moisture stains along bottom seam and at top center. Small drill hole at top left corner indicating that the album was originally sold as a cutout. Overall a very presentable jacket to accompany the beautiful disc.
