This rare 45 RPM record from the Memphis based Sun records label features Billy "The Kid" Emerson with his hits "Red Hot" and "No Greater Love". The vinyl is in beautiful VG++ condition. The record was released in 1955 and the msi.co vinyl matrix number is U-154-45 #72. This is a perfect condition original Sun record from my father’s private collection. These earlier number Suns are getting scarce and my father was an avid Sun Records collector. You can find a beat copy cheaper but why not own an original piece of Memphis music history that is not only clean but plays loud and clear. I play test all my auction records now for exact grading. Turntable is an Audio-Technica LP AT-120x with upgraded stylus. This post-war Blues/Rockabilly 45 on the iconic SUN label is sure to please any collector.

STANDARD 45 RPM GRADING:

M-       Mint Minus (Near Mint)  Highest grade used. Has full or nearly full luster. Little or no sign of play or handling. Highly desirable condition.

VG++  Very Good Plus Plus (Excellent).   Most luster remains. Some indications of careful play. Very mild groove wear, perhaps a few very light scuffs or scratches, not felt by touch.  Very desirable condition.

VG+    Very Good Plus.   Still some decent luster. Shows moderate groove wear.  May have minor scuffs and/or scratches. Still a very nice "above average" used record, acceptable to most collectors.

VG      Very Good.    Obvious groove wear with mostly, or fully grey grooves. Scuffs and/or scratches of an "average" used record are more likely. Often plays better than it looks.

VG-     Very Good Minus. Record shows heavy use, deeper grey, more scuffs and scratches. Plays with more surface noise but should play through.
