Beautiful copy of the rare 1947 pressing of the 4-disc version of Bing's Merry Christmas 78 album on Decca A-550. Features the original and by far the best version of White Christmas—before it was finally re-recorded the next year, the newer version being on all subsequent issues of this album—as well as some wonderful songs with the Andrews Sisters. Most people have heard it, but when you hear the original 78s it is like hearing it for the first time. The sound is just wonderful on this original version of the record, and this copy really brings it out. All four discs are unbelievably clean and beautiful, with only the tiniest, tiniest bit of vert minor superficial scuffing. Each one looks nearly pristine and plays completely perfectly. Just a beautiful sounding set all around. I’ve never once seen a cleaner set. The cover is also in unbelievably nice shape, with intact binding and fully readable spine with no tears. Only a tiny bit of the usual edge and corner wear but barely. This is a truly beautiful, beautiful copy. Near impossible to beat.
