Lovely copy of the rare original 12" LP pressing of Bing's classic Merry Christmas album, on Decca DL-8128. This is the first edition in mono, with the photo of Bing in his Santa hat on the back and the black star labels. This copy is really in wonderful shape. There are a few superficial scuffs and one or two very light marks but it plays just beautifully with light noise between some songs. Really a great playing copy. The sound is so so much better in original mono, before it was "re-channeled" for stereo in the early 60s. And these earlier pressings sound just magical. This is a great playing copy. The cover has tape on all the seams (see photos) and obviously the seams have been split or are fraying. Still a nice-looking cover with very little wear otherwise. All in all a very nice original.
