Description
This is a fine original U.K. pressing copy of an archival EP of a 1981 Peel session by Australian post-punk group the Birthday Party, released in 1987. This was the second of four sessions the group did for Peel's BBC Radio 1 show, and the first to be officially released. It features a version of their then current single "Release the Bats" and three tracks that weren't on their studio releases, including "(Sometimes) Pleasure Heads Must Burn" (which appeared in a live version on the posthumous It's Still Living LP) and a somewhat brittle stab at the Stooges' "Loose." The group featured lead singer Nick Cave and guitarist Rowland S. Howard. The textured jacket is all but M- with a little light creasing along the spine and seams and a little light staining (EX+). The disc is clean with some light scuffs/surface marks, and plays with occasional light surface noise (EX+).
I’m helping a friend sell his personal collection. I have play graded (spot checked) discs. The jackets will be shipped in plastic sleeves with the discs removed from them.
