This is fascinating and dynamic music & beautifully recorded. It is performed by Atrium Musicae, which was founded in 1964 in Madrid to perform and explore old music.

I once owned 72 lineal feet of mostly pristine LP’s, many played maybe once or not at all — I was collecting way too much! I pared down to a smaller collection after selling my state-of-the-art stereo system (VPI turntable / Graham tonearm / Benz Micro cartridge) about 20 years ago. This record has been stored unplayed under ideal conditions since that disposal. My decision to end my "high-end" playing days was also due to a deteriorating hearing condition. This set was bought sealed and I have only played it twice, once back then in "high-end" days and once again recently before offering it now for sale.

Listening as carefully as I am now capable of, I hear nothing that I can attribute to soft pops or scratches on all 4 sides. Overall, these LP's play very nicely with less apparent surface noise than most LP’s. In fact, BIS surfaces are often about the best in this regard. All LP playback setups have different signal to noise characteristics so YMMV. I have no qualms representing this LP as excellent sounding overall. Don’t forget, this very unique music found its way onto HP’s coveted super disk list. It is a very special recording. Keep in mind however, that at age 75, and as a long time LP addict, I no longer pay attention to so-called surface noise and background sound, including minor wear and low level tics & pops, etc., if present. I started behaving that way years ago :-) We buy LP's for their unique analog characteristics, not CD like quietness. That said, these LP's indeed display pleasantly quiet playback.

The LP comes with a quality 6 mil outer sleeve over the jacket. When shipped the LP's will be removed from jacket to prevent tears & damage to the jacket.
