Description
For auction today: Stereo, 2 album set of The Pearl Fishers on blue/silver Columbia, UK.
The sleeve on record 1, has some foxing on the rear but otherwise can't fault it. The sleeve for record 2, has the top seam showing a 2 cm. seam split and a tiny chip. Otherwise lovely and clean. Card is rigid and appears seldom handled with no creasing (not even any thumb-creases), no tears and no ringwear.
They present beautifully. Discs have quite a bit of mould but no marks or scratches at all.
I don't clean the discs. I sell them as I buy them due to different people having different preferences with cleaning methods and also, classical record collectors being so fussy and pedantic with this matter - which is perfectly fine and something I really can't argue with.
I don't play-grade discs as any dust or dirt in the grooves will cause background noise and this will cause a false-reading of how it will sound after a clean on a VPI or similar.
Cover 1 is EX. Cover 2 is VG+. Discs are both M-.
Both original EMI company inner sleeves are included here. They are quite crumpled but not split.
