BIZET THE PEARL FISHERS 2 LP Set
Pierre Dervaux........COLUMBIA SAX 2442 / 2443
Superb 2 Lp copy of one of Bizet's most celebrated and popular works. On the prestigous and much sought after Columbia Silver and Blue label. Very collectible apparently. Check the photo close up to verify.
That's the stuff to highlight its pedigree. I'm not actually a classics collector. My forte is 70s prog and rock so if I've missed anything out, contact me and I'll answer as best I can.
Condition...The vinyl is in excellent condition. Looks good (nice and shiny with the weight you don't get on LP pressings from the mid 70s onwards and just a few marks to show they have actually been played. (But not often) and the sample extracts I've played have thrown up no apparent problems. Some sellers would be tempted and unwise enough to describe the vinyl as mint or even near mint but I've sold enough to know real collectors set the bar higher than the rest of us. So I'll say excellent condition. Any problems, I accept returns.
Each of the two vinyls is separately sleeved but I'd be hard pressed to describe the sleeves as excellent. Very Good would be more accurate, mainly because of couple of dents on the corners and a little discolouration on the reverse of the Garrod and Lofthouse fold over sleeve. Laminate fronts. No tears or splits.

If I offer no description of condition, this does does not have any significance other than that I have not personally checked the item and it is therefore bought "as seen". Otherwise when I use a term such as good or excellent,it is with the meaning that a layman, NOT a trader, would use! For example, if I describe something as good it means good overall, taking into account age and reasonable wear and tear. So this may mean some scrachiness on vinyl, the sleeve damaged, or perhaps the odd tea splash on the cover of a magazine.( I read and drink tea at the same time!!)Please bear in mind that I am NOT a trader but I am always prepared to come to some arrangement should description and reality vary significantly.
