Tappi Tikarrass - Bitid fast i vitid mini-LP releasedon Spor in 1982. This is the extremely rare debut album of Bjork's first band Tappi Tikarrass. Although she had previously released one LP as a child, and with this band had two songs on a compilation album, this is Bjork's first proper release as an adult (well, she was 16-17 when it was released). Tappi Tikarrass was one of the biggest bands to come out of Icelands early 80's post-punk new wave scene, and quickly establised themselves and singer Bjork as household names in Iceland. Since her rise as an international superstar, this record has become a very sought after collectors item and is almost impossible to find these days in decent condition.
The record and cover are both in excellent condition. The vinyl has no scratches or serious marks and plays perfectly. The cover shows some signs of wear, but apart from a small split on the top seam and a tiny tear one one side has no real flaws.
This Mini-LP (or 12" EP, depending on your preferance) contains 5 songs that to my knowledge have never been released anywhere else. Four of them are sung in Icelandic and one in english. The songtitles are : "Ottar", "Lok-lad", "Ilty ebni", "London" and "Fa, fa".
This is a great opportunity for any Bjork fans to get hold of this very rare record, that barely ever pops up on ebay. This record has been in my collection but due to some serious downsizing of my record collection it is time to find it a new home. Happy bidding everyone
