Description
BLACK CAT BONES - (early incarnation of Leaf Hound)
Barbed Wire Sandwich LP (UK, Decca, SDN 15, 1970)
Very nice copy of this sought after bluesy progressive album. Early line-up had legendary guitarist Paul Kossoff, who was replaced by Rod Price (featured on this LP) who then went on to play lead and slide guitar with Foghat. He was featured prominently on "Slow Ride" - "I Just Wanna Make Love To You" and "Fool For the City", among other iconic hits of classic rock.
Condition:
Record: Really nice - Excellent Condition - Upon inspecting, I see no discernible scratches or dings that I can see, save for one extremely light one on the play-out band. Looks outstanding.
Sleeve: VG, front laminate still has good gloss, but a couple of major creases at the corners. The back cover is very clean, only a little general discoloration. A little glue separation on the bottom back seam, but that's easily enough cured and not a problem. Includes nice original Decca Records printed, lined inner-sleeve.
This is - Decca Nova - #SDN-15
Matrix in play-out groove reads:
Side 1 = ZAL-9431.P-2W
Side 2 = ZAL-9432.P-1W
SUPER RARE FOR SURE. COPIES SELL FOR OVER $300. I'LL START THIS AUCTION OUT FOR CONSIDERABLY LESS. THE REAL PROBLEM IN COLLECTING THIS LP IS FINDING ONE OF THIS VINTAGE AND ON THIS LABEL.
Nice!
