BLACK DYKE MILLS BAND : Thingumybob / Yellow Submarine (APPLE 4 - ITALY 1968)


Fantastica copertina per questo rarissimo disco, probabilmente uno dei meno venduti tra le prime emissioni Apple, praticamente un progetto di Paul McCartney che fece interpretare a una banda di ottoni una sua canzone, con sul retro una versione di Yellow Submarine.

Il disco non è mai stato suonato, ed ha la superficie lucida con soltanto qualche leggera hairline, però le parti più "soft" hanno dei leggeri fruscii di sottofondo, soprattutto gli inizi delle due canzoni, e la parte finale di Yellow Submarine. Non credo che si possano trovare copie che suonino senza nessun rumore di fondo in queste parti, comunque non posso definire il disco Mint, diciamo VG+.

La copertina non ha strappi nè tagli, l'unico difetto, che si vede dalla foto sopra, sono delle macchioline sul retro lungo il bordo destro. Ci sono anche, più leggere nel punto in corrispondenza del lato A della copertina (bordo sinistro, ma sono più leggere, e nascoste in parte dalle scritte. Nonostante questo è un' ottima copertina: EX-.

Non fatevi scappare questo disco se siete collezionisti Beatles/Apple, perchè non so quando ne capiterà un'altra copia !

Great picture sleeve for one of the rarest Apple releases, probably the one that sold less than all the others...

A Paul McCartney project, who composed the A-side for this brass band, while the flip is a version of Yellow Submarine.

The record is unplayed, the surface is shiny with only some hairlines, but the queit parts have some light crackles in the background, namely the beginning of the songs and the end part of Yellow Submarine. I doubt that there's a vinyl record somewhere without some background noise on these songs, but I can't grade it Mint, so I'll stick to VG+.

The sleeve has no tears, no cuts, no splits. The only flaw is, on the back sleeve, a line of grey spots along the right side. In the corresponding part of the A side there are a few too, but lighter and hardly visible, covered by the "BLACK DYKE..." lines. A great sleeve anyway, EX-

Don'y lose this beauty if you are Beatles/Apple collectors, you don't know when you will see another one...!
