CONDITION: V+ condition released in 1945 on JOE DAVIS 3951 featuring Black gospel from the GALILEE SINGERS with "TRAVELING SHOES" and "BEFORE THIS TIME ANOTHER YEAR" the one and only Galilee Singers came along in the '40s, part of a wave of well-produced combos whose recordings continued to prove the existence of a viable audience for this genre. Consisting of five male singers, this group had a reputation for immaculate musicianship. For a 1945 session at the East Coast Empire Studios they recorded these sides on this record that sold quite well at the time -- a 10" 78 rpm record -- please see photos for overall condition
