Ozzy Osbourne fired guitarist Jake E. Lee in 1987, for whatever reason. By 1988, he hired a young hot shot named Zakk Wylde, and got ready to release his album 'No Rest For the Wicked'. That album proved to the world that Zakk wasn't just another flash-in-the-pan...

Zakk became like a son to Ozzy. He stayed with the ''prince of darkness" until 1995's Ozzy album 'Ozzmosis', then fired up the band Pride & Glory, and released the self-titled debut (and the only one from that band). There was a solo record, then Black Label Society released their debut album in 1998 ('Sonic Brew'). And that wraps up only the 90s!

By the early 2000s, Zakk returned to Ozzy's band, and recorded with Ozzy until 'Black Rain' in 2007. (He would be back with Ozzy again for a few tracks in 2022 on the album 'Patient Number 9'.) Zakk also continued releasing albums by Black Label Society until 2021! In between, he released a second solo album, and even had time to tour with Pantera, (filling in for the late, great Dimebag Darrell)! Zakk also squeezed in a tribute (all-star) band called Zakk Sabbath, playing the music of...you guessed it...Black Sabbath!

Zakk not only plays guitar, but he also sings, writes, produces, and more. And he's blessed with a razor-sharp wit! I'm lucky enough to have seen Zakk a couple of times with Ozzy, as well as BLS at a casino in central Louisiana, a few years ago. New Years Eve, perhaps? Kind of a blur! But I do recall the band rocking out like there was no tomorrow...

In today's hard rock and holiday shopping good deal, you could win a sweet Zakk fat sack of goodies! First up is the TWO album picture disc LP set of the 2018 album titled 'Grimmest Hits'! It's actually a new album, and NOT a greatest hits album. He named it that, just to mess with people's head! It's TWELVE tracks total, on two picture disc LPs! And this is STILL SEALED and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED! Pics of the vinyl shown are stock photos. It's the same skull pic on all four sides, I believe.

In 2019, and TWENTY years after Sonic Brew (the second version, with extra tracks) was released, Zakk released an album called 'Sonic Brew-20th Anniversary Blend 5.99-5.19'. And as a very cool bonus, a skull shaped picture disc was released, with two tracks: unreleased acoustic versions of ''Black Pearl" and "Spoke in the Wheel"! That's in this package, in its original clear PVC jacket, with hype sticker! 'Sonic Brew' had an original release in 1998, but a certain wiskey company (who shall remain nameless) had BLS change the album cover, so 'Brew' had a second release, 1999. The skull on this shaped pic disc is featured on the second release.

And so you don't have to play your 'Grimmest Hits' picture discs (though you certainly can, as today's picture disc usually sound awesome!), I'll include the CD of that great hard rocking and heavy metal triumph! This too is STILL SEALED and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED!

I'll even include TWO vintage rock magazines in this crazy good deal! First up is the Feb 1988 'Hit Parader' magazine, with a young Zakk and Ozzy on the cover! (THIRTY FIVE years ago!) Promoting the 'No Rest For the Wicked' record, I'm sure. And check out the other 80s metal bands that the magazine features in this issue! You'll also get something a little later, and the August 2003 issue of 'Metal Edge' (TWENTY years ago!), with an older Zakk and Ozzy on the cover. The 'Hit Parader' is in better condition than the 'Metal Edge' mag, but both are still intact, and holding up well. And very cool vintage collectibles to have!

And last, but not least, I'll throw in a Zakk autograph! Signed by Zakk himself! I no longer have the pic of Zakk signing it, as it was on a phone that got damaged, and I didn't save it before that happened. But don't worry, it's real. Zakk Wylde has always been happy to sign autographs for fans, from the early days through now. He usually draws his guitar, and signs the year, and SDMF. (Which is NOT something obscene, so get your minds out of the gutter! Lol) SDMF actually stands for strength, determination, merciless forever.
