by LUCIFER (Mort Garson)

Mort Garson sure did participate in a lot of recordings in the '60s. Many were pedestrian offerings like "Love Strings" on Liberty, or working with artists like Doris Day, Mel Torme or the equally exciting Glenn Yarborough.

But Garson's recordings that really catch the ears of collectors are his dabbling in electronic sounds with Robert Moog's new Moog Synthesizer. Combine that with a dark and satanic theme like a Black Mass and you've got a real hellish winner!

This 1971 album has some of the cheeziest moog music that you could ever imagine. And the inner sleeve has an essay written about each of the pieces by Michael Owen Jones, Ph. D. from U.C.L.A. who is a field researcher and professor with the Center of the Study Of Comparative Folklore and Mythology. He give insight as to the areas of witchcraft that Lucifer and electronic composer Mort Garson have evoked on this little bit of black vinyl.

The enigmatic Mort Garson touched down on only a handful of records, but they where varied and splendid wonders. In his specialty, occult Moog, Garson's work is unrivalled.
