Condition of Item:
Record: UNPLAYED assumed MINT
Cover: MINT MINUS
Additional Item Information:
I opened this up because it came in a re-sealable outer poly-sleeve and I was curious to see if it was a hand-numbered copy of not. This is NOT a hand-numbered copy.
Cover is mint minus because the bottom right corner got a ding in transport to record store for RSD.
First time touching the vinyl today to take the pictures. Like with all my vinyl I hold it only on the edges with fingers (never pinching it) and the center hole with my thumb when needed.
The hazy orange vinyl is sort of black with lighter highlights made by the orange. Once I opened it and looked at the vinyl the info on the sticker (noted below) makes more sense to me know. They spread a standard single LP album over two discs by having the back side of each LP boasting an etching, so there are really only two playable sides, one per disc. Interestingly, this is what Classic Records did to a lot of their audiophile releases back in the '90s and '00s putting out such re-issues as classics by Led Zeppelin, Dave Brubeck, John Coltrane, etc. The reasoning being that the flat back adheres better to the platter hence dissipating micro-vibrations generated when a needle travels across the grooves, hence making for a better sounding record. I can't provide comment as I haven't listened to any of those such titles.
Promotional sticker on the outer sleeve is really hard to read, but it states:
180 gram, high quality vinyl
Hazy orange LPs with silver foil stamping on Slides B & D
Bonus Track not on CD/Digital version
24 x 24 poster
Stoughton gatefold packaging w/ silver foil printing
First and only pressing of 1000 copies
1st 500 copies hand-numbered
(Also available as a single, 180 gram LP)
Purchased by me directly from my local record store in 2010 on RSD, so I'm the original and sole owner.
Kept in LP storage box since then, in a pet-free, smoke-free household, that is climate controlled all year long.
Shipping Information
General
I ship using carboard mailers designed specifically for 12" records. I also apply a "FRAGILE" sticker or two to help ensure it arrives safely.
Shipping costs are calculated based on weight of the item. However, I do add approximately less than one dollar per package to cover materials (per package, NOT per item won).
I package tightly so as to minimize movement while in transit. I ship sealed LPs as is, unless you ask me to remove the LP/inner sleeve (so let me know!). I ship opened/used LPs with the LP/inner sleeve removed but within an outer protective polysleeve.
Multiple Wins / Discounted Shipping
I will ship in 1 package all items won in a 2 week period so you can save on shipping costs. If you win more than one item, please wait for an invoice from me.
I do provide discounted shipping costs for multiple wins, because I ship based on weight. Email if you are curious about the rate for 2 items for your country, and I will give you an estimate but you should wait for the final invoice once I package and weigh the actual items.
