Hello and ATTENTION ALL DJ'S AND COLLECTORS, I am slowly but surely pulling out my rare soul and funk gems for y'alls, what we have up for auction today is a MONSTER PRIVATE PRESS vinyl lp by the band BLACK POWER, this lp is entitled "MORNAS E CALADEIRAS" ORFEU label (ESTEREO, sb1138) CONDITION OF THE COVER=vg/vg+ at best, some ring wear and some aged shelf wear, great for display, i've kept it in a plastic sleeve for the last 10 years! CONDITION OF THE VINYL= visual vg-, PLAYGRADE vg+, several scuffs and scratches, a few can be felt, but no skips at all--i just listened to it on my system with headphones and it was a totally enjoyable experience! SOUND=6.5/10 **perfect for sampling** no real loud 'noise' or 'fried bacon' to write home about, Great "PATINA" Wax Poetics readers!!! HAIL W.P.=THEE GREATEST MAG ON THE SHELVES!!!!!! r.i.p. GRAND ROYAL ::: fans of wax poetics, please write me!! WHEW WAS THAT STRICT ON THE GRADING OR WHAT!? contains 12 cuts from the streets of PORTUGAL 70's funky soul bandits in their prime jive, this record contains a few great intro breaks (...i dig "RAFCHA-TARA" hot extened opening), funky spaced-out electric organ (...especially on track 4 "POMBA"), the guitar player is basically on ACID through all of the recordings--HE IS ON ANOTHER PLANET--no effects, dry stoned riffs and solo runs, bump-y AZZ SHAKING b-b-b-BASS lines--keeping the pace, riding the wave of caliente' drumming, complete with full tom rolls across the kit, phased from the left speaker to the right!! this record would rock a Spanish or Portugese BLOCK PARTY!!! outrageous nonstop midtempo ferver--several spots to sample--I've slowed "Pomba" down during its instrumental parts for a seriously evil sample--this album has its serious "street" moments--very ethnic, very street, all jams--tight yet 'strung out' arrangements , IF YOU CATCH MY DRIFT--Brothers and Sisters take note--if you work for PUFFY COMBS, JAY Z, SNOOP, DRE, 50 CENT don't sleep on this HARDCORE sample-filled PRIVATE PRESS jammy jam--you don't even stumble across this sh*t in TRENDY Brooklyn, HEAR THAT BEASTIE BOYS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hey MCA, hey MIKE D, hey ADROCK got this one in your personal collections???? i BET not--RICKY POWELL offered me the vintage PUMAS off his feet for this JOINT! nuff said, and most of this is true ROCKERS, so if you gots the wheels of steel, you need to OWN this DIAMOND, hustla! *****$6.00 SHIPPING PRIORITY, $3.00 FOR MEDIA MAIL, for U.S.A.
