An Absolutely Outstanding Debut Album by probably one of the greatest British Metal/Rock Bands of the late sixties and 70's, BLACK SABBATH, with strong influence from the highly talented Tony Iommi, Terry Butler, Bill Ward and the infamous Ozzy Osbourne. Recorded late '69 and released in February of 1970, one of the greatest 70's "Rock and Metal/Garage" Albums of all time.British Metal at its Finest.
The record is in Excellent- condition, some visible but very light surface marks/fine hairlines, mostly only seen under a very bright light. Obviously not mint , but an excellent - copy all the same.
The SPIRAL Labels are both excellent. Both sides show only minimal signs of any spindle marking and there is no wear to the centre hole.There is a small name sticker on side 2 (See photos.)
All round Excellent Set.
The Gatefold Sleeve is in EX.condition. This is the Very First Unlaminated sleeve, made of thick card. As unlaminated was prone to light wear, There is one tiny nick to the opening rear edge,the sleeve is rigid & square with no unwanted stickers or price labels.. There is some edge/corner wear. The spine is rigid and the text on the spine is intact, there is some light wear to the spine edges and the base of spine. The opening edges to the sleeve are reasonably sharp and crease free. The inner gatefold is very clean, unlaminated, no marks or writing.There are some aging marks only visible when turned to the light,still an Extremely Rare Sleeve and a great example of this very rare classic record.
Record comes complete with the original Black Spiral Vertigo polylined inner paper sleeve which is in good condition. No tears to seams,couple of nicks on iner swirl, polylining intact. aging around edges & a name written small & neat top left & Black Sabbath written small & neat top right.
