Description
Superb example of the original pressing from 1992, pressing no's 7131551 - A1 & B1 - see scans.
Record - near mint, no marks of any type - always kept in special anti-static, acid free 'Nagaoka' brand record protectors.
Inner sleeve - all round excellent condition.
Outer sleeve - all round excellent condition.
THIS VINYL LP IS PROBABLY IN THE BEST CONDITION YOU CAN FIND - FOR THE REASONS OUTLINED BELOW !
NOTE I am a Hi-Fi 'nut' and this record has only ever been played with one of the very finest needle/cartridge/stylus tips in the world ! A "Van den Hul MC1B" (an EMT hand modified cartridge) - the Van den Hul diamond is the only one ever designed to match the profile/shape of the 'cutter head' (that cuts the LP master) and as such it actually 'cleans' the LP groove when played because it fits the groove so precisely. In 1983 (?) when the stylus was first designed it was claimed to be 'The most highly polished diamond in the world' - see additional pictures. Low tracking weight of 2.1 gram and high polish of diamond helps preserve/protect the record groove from any 'wear' - this quality of cartridge/stylus currently retail at £3000+ ! In case you're wondering how I am still using a 35 year old cartridge - these are entirely individually hand built and can be re-tipped and re-built as required, mine has had 3 x re-tips and 3 x re-builds+re-tips over the years !
