Description
Up for auction is a very nice original pressing of the Black Sabbath album Master Of Reality, originally released in the U.S. on Warner Bros. Records (BS 2562) in 1971:
-Guaranteed original 1971 pressing, not recent reissue
-Artisan mastering stamps in both run-outs -Original olive green WB labels -Side One label reads "After Forever (Including The Elegy)" -"Ioomi" misspelling in label song credit -Original poster -Original embossed cover -Original WB inner sleeve -No UPC/bar code on cover -NOT common record club pressing
Note: The very first pressings had the "Masters" misspelling in the title, along with the errors that this one has. This copy had the title corrected but still had the "Ioomi" misspelling. As such, still very rare compared to the fully-corrected pressings.
Poster: Poster is in Excellent (EX) condition, no tears, no pinholes, no tape marks, no fading. Has just a typical hint of rub along one folding edge, but not serious (see photo).
Condition: Cover is in very nice condition, still retains much of its original shine, with just some light rub here and there, nothing serious. No ring wear, no seams splits. A couple corners show some rub. A couple light creases. Very attractive, well preserved. Grade: Excellent (EX), better than typical VG+ copies
Vinyl is also in very nice condition, still has its original shine. No obvious scratches or scuffs, but under a strong light a few very faint superficial hairlines and paper shadows show up, but nothing serious, nothing that can be felt, and certainly nothing that would affect the quality of the sound, which is excellent. Labels are clean, no spindle hole wear. Looks like this may have been played a few times but handled with care. Nicely preserved original! Grade: Excellent (EX), better than typical VG+ copies

I remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
