Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

We have just taken in a collection of incredibly rare Classic Rock '1st PRESS' LPs...All have been stored since the 1970s. They were played back in the day but have been stored away since for over 35 years, unseen until now! All are in amazing play condition and the sleeves are also super. Each one protected and played very very carefully, so you can be safe to know listening to these vinyls is a real joy!

As you can see, this vinyl is the  EARLIEST MOTHER STAMPER //1 //1   PRESSING- Stored from new this LP remains in SUPERB PLAY CONDITION

THIS VINYL AS ALL THE OTHERS WE ARE LISTING PLAYS QUITE SUBLIME.

This pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age.

There are  a LOT of light whisp lines, and a couple of little hairlines that do not sound -no scratches or damage at all that spoils the play whatsoever.

  Some light spider lines around the centre hole-

 There is some dust on the vinyl where it has stood for so long unseen since the 70s!

all quiet passages sounded superb.

On playing through we heard nothing in the dead grooves bar the tiniest of static in the dead grooves...no unwanted noises or pops/clicks.

It was a stunning listen and overall we doubt you'd hear better for this amazing FIRST PRESSING.

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST !!

THO WE FEEL, IN THIS DAY AND AGE REALLY A GRADE OF EX+  IS MORE REALISTIC..

ORIGINAL EMBOSSED LOGO LAMINATED TABBED TOP AND BOTTOM SLEEVE  - WITH THE CORRECT POSTER INSIDE,  AND  SPIRAL INNER SLEEVE

 This is in SUPER condition, quite amazing how it has survived so clean.

The good thing here is the previous owner kept the box packed out with card stiffeners to keep the sides from leaning and squashing.. so you have here a very solid box.. easily one of the best we have ever seen

many we see are squashed over and flattened.. not this one!! A BEAUTY!

The LAMINATED PANELS are all super clean with VIRTUALLY NO DULLING AT ALL!

No powdery white ringwear - OR ring press of any note.

The spine edges are clean, no wear or damage at all

the tiniest of tip rub on the open edges- and some tip rub

a few tiny spider lines over the edges.

We believe that there are two 'style' posters for this box.. both correct.. one is a SIX  fold poster (folding on the ink side out) and also a FOUR fold poster, (this one)

Apparently, they used a slightly smaller poster in some copies early on, to cut off the excess background in the photo , due to the 'paper shortage' crisis in the UK around this time..  Both we are told are correct... the 'Larger' poster and untextured finish is a European one, and not correct for this box. Beware!

OVERALL THIS IS A TRULY AMAZING COLECTORS ITEM.. AN LP BECOMING IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND COMPLETE, CORRECT AND IN DECENT CONDITION
