Here is a rare opportunity to acquire an original copy of 'Master of Reality' by Black Sabbath on first pressing UK Vertigo vinyl (6360 050) from 1971. This copy comes complete with its coveted poster in unused condition.

Original copies of Master of Reality were housed in a laminated embossed box-style sleeve which is difficult to come by today in as fine condition as this. Most suffer terribly and are generally found having been touched up along the edges by the dreaded black felt tip pen but not this copy. This box sleeve is totally unmessed with in any way. It remains strong with just a little creasing here and there, laminate lift along the spine, the odd little bit of wear at the corners, and a slight flattening of the box shape, which is almost inevitable, but really this is a very impressive sleeve which has clearly been well cared for. There are no tears, rips or unwanted writing. This sleeve well warrants a grade of VG-.

The first pressing Vertigo swirl vinyl looks fine in natural light although when examined under harsh halogen lighting you can see some light wispy handling marks, some slight 'box entry' scuffing of the surface and the odd 'fingernail' mark but no nasty scratches. It is certainly not a worn out and abused copy. This fine flat disc grades VG-.

The poster has been kept in its box sleeve all its life and therefore is in perfect condition with undiminished colouring. This poster has never been in contact with a wall, has hardly been exposed to the light and I don't think it has ever been fully opened. It is a lovely example of this sought after item, as good as the day it came off the press and was popped into the box cover. This poster has no crease marks apart from its original folds, no handling marks of any kind, no greasy fingermarks or stains, no rips, tears or writing, no dog-eared folded-over corners, no pin-holes, no tape residue and no sticky stuff whatsoever ... here is that perfect poster you have been waiting for.

Here therefore is a rare chance to obtain a fully complete and correct first pressing of Master of Reality by Black Sabbath with that elusive poster.
