This is the rare UK 1st Press of 'Master Of Reality' by Black Sabbath. This 1st press has the original laminated box style sleeve, the earliest 1st press matrix, the original inverted Vertigo inner sleeve and the 1st press spiral Vertigo label.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl has a sensational high gloss, it has rarely been played. There are just a few of the very finest hairlinesand light marks. The black swirl Vertigo label is immaculate. The white is crisp and bright, the black is incredibly bold and the text sharp. The black is flawless. The record is complete with the original inverted swirl Vertigo inner sleeve in Excellent condition.
The 1st press laminated box style sleeve is in Excellent condition. The black is still very dark and the purple is vivid. The laminate has a stunning shine and the whole cover is completely clean. There are a couple of laminate creases and lift by the spine and slight corner wear. The envelope opening edge is still very firm and unfeathered and the back cover has bright white text. The edges are very sharp and the whole cover still feels extremely solid.
