Description

BLACK SABBATH - MASTER OF REALITY 1Y1/2Y1 MATRIX - UK PRESS Year:1971 Cat: 6360 050

On offer here is a superb early example with first press matrices and date stamped swirl inner but no poster!
The laminated cardboard box sleeve is partly flattened as they nearly all are when they turn up. However there are no creases and just two small laminate splits on the box lid. The laminate has a thin line of lifting next to the spine and parts of the bottom edge but is fully intact. Both sides are very glossy and clean with only slight wear to the top flap corners. Overall graded EX.
The polylined correct swirl inner is flat, clean and uncreased! One of the best I have seen. The bottom right corner is stamped with 0671 showing this was pressed before the July 1971 release date. Rated EX.
The disc has that glass like quality and delivers superb audio. Under strong light there are NO marks just one faint hairline. Visually graded NEAR MINT. When played it easily matches up the visual grading with no noise at all, even in the quiet passages. Audio graded NEAR MINT. The swirl labels are clear and bright with only one spindle trails visible showing this record has hardly been played!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My records are graded in accordance with Record Collector's Grading System as follows:

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

+ or - indicates a grading in between categories
