Description

Up for auction is a copy of Master Of Reality by Black Sabbath, released in 1971 on Vertigo, cat no 6360 050. This is an odd one: the box cover is a genuine original Vertigo copy; however, the vinyl is a 1973 pressing on WWA, cat no WWA 008 (the original Vertigo matrix numbers in the dead wax are crossed out & WWA 008 has been hand-etched above them). I don’t know if this is a “transitional” pressing, or whether the previous owner simply swapped the covers. There’s no poster with this copy either.

Condition: vinyl has a mark or two, but nothing feelable or affecting play. Box cover has a few laminate creases, some small areas of peeling along the bottom & top edges, and a barely-visible name written on the front, but still feels pretty sturdy. VG+/VG (vinyl/cover).

My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence!
