I successfully sold my copy of this great album recently - the buyer was highly satisfied, please see my feedback for reference - I have been asked by a friend to sell theirs, so here it is...
Black Sabbath 'Paranoid' 1970 UK original vinyl album on the Vertigo big swirl label, catalogue number 6360 011 (stereo)
The numbers and letters stamped on the vinyl are:- Side A: 6360011 1Y//2 v420 1 2 1 Side B: 6360011 2Y//1 v420 1 2 2 0
This is a heavy vinyl and it is not warped. Both sides of the record have an overall scattering of light surface scratches, the majority probably caused by bag movement, but some by stylus contact. I can't feel any of them, but there is a more noticeable one on the B Side, track 2, which does cause some ticks on and off for a couple of minutes (it's probably there for the whole two minutes, but the start of this track varies significantly in volume and when it's loud it drowns it out). Apart from that, it plays very cleanly and clearly with only an occasional light tick and a bit of crackle where it can be heard. There are no sticks, no skips, no jumps, and overall very little lessening of the sound quality which is predominantly brilliant.
The track titles can be seen on the label photographs. The labels have quite a lot of spindle lines, but there is no writing, no damage.
The cover is a gatefold type, it does not have any coating or laminate. The front and back surfaces both have quite a lot of surface rub wear, a few small creases and scratches, but they remain presentable. The bottom seam has a lot of rub wear and the top seam is also scuffed, but less so. The centre piece is excellent, with just a few marks and signs of handling (this is not the one with the 'Big Bear' credit). The corners and front edge also have rub wear.
The spine is rubbed on the end and scuffed on the edges, but it remains fully readable.
The inner sleeve is the original Vertigo big swirl which is poly-lined and intact, no seam splits, but there are two small tears on the back centre window and the catalogue number has been written with a letter 'N' in the top left corner.
I have checked the Record Collector grading system and I would say that the cover is 'very good' and although the appearance of the vinyl is 'very good' the audio for nearly all of the time is at least 'very good+' - a very enjoyable record if you're seeking the 'Paranoid experience' rather than perfection!
I have described this as carefully and honestly as possible, but it is a no return item so please bid accordingly.
It will be packed in a record mailing box (cruciform) with two pieces of card inside for further protection.
