BLACK SABBATH - PARANOID (PLEASE SCROLL THROUGH FOR HIGH RES-IMAGES)
A really listenable genuine 1st pressing copy of this proto-heavy metal classic that has been fully cleaned and play tested.
The sleeve and records display all the hallmarks of a first pressing copy.
· The Swirl to side 1 reaches almost to the spindle hole;
· the matrices denote a first pressing; the sleeve has the VO price code;
· the inside of the gatefold has the all-important “Jim Simpson, Big Bear, Birmingham” management credits (which was changed for later pressings)

GRADING
SLEEVE: VG
Sleeve is in perfectly fine condition. There are no splits or tears and no significant damage. There is some edge wear and some very slight ringwear to the rear but that’s it. A really robust and passable sleeve. The inside of the gatefold is near perfect. The Swirl inner shows some browning to the top edge but is solid and free from any tears or splits.
RECORD: VG
The record has a network of light scuff marks covering both sides and a couple of superficial scratches. I was expecting these to negatively affect the sound quality but, to my surprise, the record plays through really well! There is some light background noise but this is very much in the background and not always present. Similarly there are a few quiet pops during playback but these are few and far between. There is no groove wear or significant deterioration in the sound quality. Genuinely a real joy!!!
The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine system:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
IF YOU DISAGREE WITH MY GRADING (Which is hope is very unlikely) PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE LEAVING FEEDBACK.

I calculate postage using the Royal mail postage calculator. I charge an extra 50p for packing materials as i buy specialist record mailers and stiffeners. Sometimes records cost less to mail than i expect. In these cases i try to refund the difference. However, as I mail a number of records at one time i occasionally lose track of who paid what postage for which record. RATHER THAN LEAVING LESS THAN 5 STAR FEEDBACK, IF YOU HAVE BEEN OVERCHARGED FOR POSTAGE PLEASE CONTACT ME AND I WILL IMMEDIATELY REFUND YOU THE DIFFERENCE.
