UK first press with large Vertigo swirl labels and gatefold sleeve
Description:
An original UK first pressing of Paranoid, released in 1970 on the Vertigo label, catalogue number 6360 011.
A highly sought-after early copy of this landmark heavy rock album, complete with its iconic Keef-designed gatefold sleeve and the classic large swirl Vertigo labels.
This is a genuine first UK pressing, confirmed by the early matrix numbers 6360011 1Y//1 ▽420 and 6360011 2Y//1 ▽420, as found on initial issues of this title.
The labels feature the large Vertigo swirl design, correct for first press copies, with all text and layout consistent with early UK manufacture.
The gatefold sleeve displays the famous blurred figure artwork to the front and the full band photo and credits inside. A classic presentation and one of the most recognisable sleeves of the era.
A cornerstone UK Vertigo pressing and increasingly difficult to find in clean, well-kept condition.

Condition:
The record is in NEAR MINT condition. Surfaces retain a deep, glossy sheen with only the faintest signs of handling visible under strong light. No feelable marks and nothing that detracts from playback. Plays beautifully throughout. NEAR MINT.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT PLUS condition. There is light edge wear and some minor rubbing visible along the edges and corners, along with faint signs of handling. The structure remains solid and the spine is clearly readable. A very respectable example of this fragile sleeve. EXCELLENT PLUS.
