Up for auction here I have a very nice German Vertigo Swirl copy of Black Sabbath's legendary Paranoid LP. Catalogue number is 6360 011 D. If you're after as close to a MINT copy of this album then this is most definitely for you. Ok,maybe not as desirable as the UK press in collecting terms but as for a player copy this is as good as it gets. I've never seen a copy of this album in such unbelievable condition. I just cannot find a single blemish or fault on it so I'm confidently going to give it my highest NEAR MINT grade. Whoever wins this will NOT be dissapointed in the slightest.
The LAMINATED gatefold sleeve is in pretty decent shape and is free from any writings or scribbling as many are. Only faults are some edge creasing,ringwear and a scratch to the laminate to the rear which easures approximately 5 inches long. This German sleeve as way more flimsy than the UK version. The polylined Vertigo swirl inner sleeve is clean,intact and also free from and writing. Over all this is a very presentable copy but as mentioned the real beauty here is the amazing condition of the vinyl. Thanks for looking and happy bidding. Any questions of course are welcomed.
RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM
MINT :The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed be Mint.
EXCELLENT :The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD :The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
I may use a + or a - to emphasise a grading which may be inbetween a grade. I will never use a mint grading for a 2nd hand/used record for instance. Mint- will be the very highest grade.
