Another from my personal collection. I own all of the Black Sabbath albums and I have most of the UK variations that I know of.  This being the seventh Black Sabbath Archive UK albums in a row, that I have listed here on Ebay when they are gone they are gone! All of my Black Sabbath albums listed will be near mint Audio Archive copies and some may even be unplayed or at least only played once or twice only.! This is an early 1st UK variation so rare to find this variation #5#6 matrix endings rarely seen especially in this awesome condition. The vinyl has only ever been played by me two times ever from new and the audio is to die for absolutely stunning through out! As near as perfect mint plays as new in my opinion. So rich and vibrant it nearly shook the house down. One of the best audio sounding copies that I have heard!  The original 1st issue  cover has no splits or tears and has very,very,very minor storagewear only.  I would grade the cover at least excellent plus exceptional condition see photos! An archive copy never need to upgrade mint vinyl/audio!

Technical Ecstasy is the seventh studio album by the British heavy metal band Black Sabbath, released in September 1976. The album was certified Gold on 19 June 1997 and peaked at number 51 on the Billboard Pop Album chart.













Vocalist Ozzy Osbourne briefly left the band following the release of the album. He would eventually return for Technical Ecstasy's supporting tours and the follow-up album, Never Say Die!, before being fired for his unreliability in 1979. "It's Alright" was written and sung by drummer Bill Ward. Ward was initially reluctant to sing the song for fear of offending Osbourne, but he was encouraged by the band to do it. The song was often covered live by Guns N' Roses, and included in their Live Era: '87–'93 album. The song was also featured in the 2010 film It's Kind of a Funny Story.





While the band were recording the album, The Eagles were also recording their Grammy Award-winning[6] album Hotel California in an adjacent studio at Criteria Studios in Miami. The Eagles were forced to stop recording on numerous occasions because Black Sabbath were too loud and the sound was coming through the wall.





During the subsequent 1977 Australian tour in support of Technical Ecstasy, the band was supported by AC/DC. The relationship between bassist Geezer Butler and AC/DC guitarist Malcolm Young was quite tense. Guitarist Tony Iommi recalls the atmosphere between the two being "heavy" and that the pair did not get along at all.





Ward's drum tech Graham Wright and Osbourne's personal assistant David Tangye stated in their 2004 book How Black Was Our Sabbath that the problems between the two originated after a show the two bands performed earlier in Switzerland. A altercation occurred in an hotel bar in which Butler removed a switch-blade comb from his pocket and opened it. Young thought it was a switchblade knife and believed Butler was pointing it at him.

The labels.

The original Vertigo Spaceship labels are in awesome condition! (These looks superb in my opinion)!   Amaizingly I can just barely see see (one feint) spider trail only, even when angled to the light and of coarse (no) spindle ware   This has only ever been played one time only from new when I initially purchased it and one time to play grade for this listing. So rare  for an album that is 37 years old! Impossible to find like this! very very collectable!

The vinyl.

The vinyl is absolutely superb! On initial visual inspection this looks like new Near As Mint in my opinion! and still retains its sheen from new! (please note this vinyl has only ever been  played by me personally and I originally played this to record to tape only one time! in the last 35 years this has been stored in a case with the vinyl seperated from the sleeve and cover to prevent ringware and damage This is how I have always stored my records, and of course I played this again to play grade at very loud volume on a top system!  In fact even when I look at the playing surface angled to a strong light I find it hard to even see a blemish at all. Any marks that could possible be seen when angled in strong light would be sleeve removal type only but no audio sounding marks or scratches at all.  There are no audio sounding marks or blemishes that I can see at all! This looks almost as unplayed! 

The Audio Quality

 I have played this through track for track prior to listing at very very loud volume on a top system! The moment the needle hits the playing surface it is obvious this vinyl has barely ever been played at all!  The audio quality is as you would expect, superbe, TOP, TOP, TOP! cristal clear and extreemely vibrant through out in fact this plays as a new vinyl would sound in my opinion!    This played through as perfect as it gets unbelievable audio seperation, that I haven't heard like this before and stunning bassey feel throughout almost cd. quality on my systems! One of the best sounding audio copies that I have heard! This vinyl has been stored seperately from the cover in a poly sleeve for all of its storage life! This is the way I always  have stores my records! The audio on this pressing in my opinion is almost as good as it gets for a very early and the 1st issue variation! Even in between tracks this is almost quiet!  This is the best audio that I have heard of this pressing!  I would class myself as highly critical and this is a truly exceptional sounding vinyl and the 6th EVER ALBUM RELEASED  by this awesome band ''black sabbath'' and so hard to find the earliest 1st pressing like this! Please check my completed listings of records that i have sold of this calaber and you will see that i normally get it right! I would grade the audio at least excellent plus to near as mint through out!

Please note! That i always make this disclaimer! That although I never heard any clicks or pops during the play of this record please allow for the odd isolated static/ tick , certainly not consistent throughout the audio, but this is a genuine 37 year old vinyl that would have been played on a 37 year old system!

Points to note! This has been stored in a case laying dormant for at least 35 years! A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves from laying dormant causes static crackle\ticks! A constant clean before each play is recomended ! This would reduce any static and enhance the audio quality!

The Record Sleeve

This is a poly lined sleevewith (no) splits or tares.  Light creasing minor staining/fading with age only in general nice and clean!

The Insert

This is the original lyric insert nice and clean without any grubby marks light creasing only.

The Cover

This is the original and earliest 1st UK issue Robert Stace  printed un laminated cover! This is absolutely superbe! Rare to find in this awesome condition super straight in  appearance (see photos) any minor creases or indents are hard to notice on front only, really noticed if looked for in my opinion (See Photos). Truly remarkabel for 37 years old!  JUST TRY TO FIND A BETTER ORIGINAL! I would grade the cover at least excellent plus! No splits or tears.
