BLACK SABBATH - TECHNICAL ECSTASY

A beautiful condition, with barely played and near mint vinyl, copy of this increasingly rare and sought after Black Sabbath 1976 original UK press rock gem on the Vertigo "spaceship" record label, STEREO, 9102 750

The dead wax matrix numbers are :

Side 1    9102750 1Y//6 1B with stampers "11" and "1" at 3 o'clock and 4 o'clock and "MELYS" etched

Side 2    9102750 2Y//6 1B with stampers "11" and "4" at 4 o'clock and 5 o'clock and "MELYS" etched

A truly wonderful condition 1976 UK 1st press rock gem with gleaming, jet black sheen, early 1Y/2Y matrix vinyl - barely played and unmarked vinyl, even when closely inspected under a bright light; pristine Vertigo "Spaceship" labels with not even the usual one or two faint spindle trails - perfect; gorgeous condition Robert Stace non-laminated Hipgnosis designed outer sleeve - hard to fault with firm edges, perfect corners, no scuffing or creasing, perfect spine, firm opening sides with no fraying, and all colours/photos/text beautifully intact, a sticker and sticker mark located at the front side top corners are only blemishes; perfect condition/unused original lyric insert; original &  perfect condition poly-lined die-cut "PLASTIC BAGS CAN BE DANGEROUS..." and  "MADE IN ENGLAND" inner sleeve; terrific, crystal clear STEREO audio quality & perfect tone even at higher volume with no sticks, jumps, repeats, clicks, interference or background crackle - a brilliant listen throughout. UK 1st presses of this underrated Black Sabbath gem are now becoming hard to find, especially in such barely played and impressive condition as this.

On the subject of postage, I take great care in the packaging of all items, using a proper vinyl thick cardboard "crucifix" style box/mailer along with at least two thick cardboard stiffeners. I take great care in separating the record from the outer sleeve in order to help prevent sleeve damage in transit and I always insert the vinyl, outer sleeve and inner into a clear plastic sleeve, thus adding further protection.

Mint

The records itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items, such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and /or creasing.

Very Good

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

Fair

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents are torn, stained and/or defaced

Poor

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents are badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler
